The Carmel boys basketball team used a fourth-quarter rally to get past Lawrence North 62-59 in a Thursday away game.
It was a close contest throughout, as the Wildcats led 14-12 after one quarter and 33-31 at halftime. Lawrence North was ahead 52-49 after three periods, but the Greyhounds outscored the Wildcats 13-7 in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Jared Bonds had an outstanding game, scoring 23 points and collecting seven rebounds. Sam Orme had 13 points and also pulled seven rebounds and blocked two shots. Spencer White had scored nine points and had seven rebounds, while Alex Couto scored nine and dished out five assists. Logan Reinhart made a 3-pointer to complete Carmel’s scoring.
The Greyhounds are 12-6 and play their next game at home, hosting Hamilton Southeastern on Feb. 10.
