The Sheridan wrestling team finished fifth at the Hoosier Heartland Conference meet, which took place last Saturday at Clinton Central.
The Blackhawks had three individual champions: Kevin Speck won at 152 pounds, Jacob Jones was the 182-pound champion and Peyton Cross dominated to win at 220 pounds.
All 10 of Sheridan’s wrestlers finished in the top six. Jace Warren was third at 195, followed by fourth-place finishes from Owen Whitlow (at 106), Ryker Ream (at 160) and Jaden Dunbar (at 170). Adrianna Hamersley (at 120) and Alex Cravens (at 145) both placed fifth, while Eli Smith was sixth at 138.
