TODAY: Humane Society for Hamilton County holding priceless cat adoptions

Today, Saturday, Oct. 15, the Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) will hold a “priceless” cat adoption event from noon to 5 p.m.

With the shelter being over capacity, HSHC is playing host to a Purranormal Cativity adoption event, making this the perfect time to add a new boo to your crew. There are no tricks, just the treat of bringing another family member into your home, while making space for the next animal that is brought to HSHC. As the love of a furry friend is priceless, HSHC will ask adopters to make a donation of any amount at the time of adoption for cats 1 year and older. Kittens under 1 year will be 50 percent off. Some exclusions apply.

“Our goal is to adopt the cats in our care into forever homes just in time for fall,” said Suzanne Yoder, Senior Director of Marketing. “We encourage people to adopt instead of buying their next pet. We have so many amazing cats and dogs who are ready to be a part of your family.”

During the month of October, dogs 1 year and older have a reduced adoption fee of $31. Some exclusions apply. HSHC requires canine adopters to bring all family members as well as any dogs in the home to meet with a potential shelter dog. Cat adopters must bring all human family members. Those renting properties are recommended to bring the landlord’s pet policy. All adopters are required to present government issued ID.
