At 3:42 p.m. on Tuesday, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies was dispatched to a serious personal injury accident involving three vehicles and a person ejected on State Road 19 between Field Drive and 196th Street.

The crash involved the following vehicles:

  • A white Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder going southbound on State Road 19
  • A black RAM 5500 going southbound on State Road 19
  • A blue Buick Encore going northbound State Road 19

Preliminary reports from on-scene evidence and witness statements indicate indicate that the driver of the Mitsubishi Eclipse was operating in a reckless and dangerous manner since approximately the 24900 block of State Road 19. The driver of the Mitsubishi was ejected, landing on the roadway in front of the vehicle. The driver was transported via StatFlight to St. Vincent’s hospital on 86th Street in Indianapolis with severe head and body trauma.

The driver of the Buick was transported to St. Vincent’s on 86 Street with complaints of pain in their back.
