The Castleton United Methodist Church, located at 71st and Shadeland Avenue in Indianapolis, will hold a Town of Castleton Reunion and Open House from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
This is a gathering for those with ties to or interest in the “old town.” Please come and share pictures, stories, and maps from the time that you and your families lived in the area. Come to visit and talk about the town, the businesses, the church, and the school in Castleton.
Indiana Album has been invited to come and scan photos if you would like to have them in the state archives.
Parking for the open house is free at the church in the main Shadeland lot, which you can enter from Shadeland Avenue. Enter the church through Door 3. Light refreshments and restrooms will be available, and tables and chairs will be set up for visiting.
You can also tour the existing church building at 5 and 5:30 p.m.
