Sheridan steamrolls Clinton Central, refuses to throw Bulldogs one single bone
Sheridan blitzed its way to victory over old rival Clinton Central on Friday, beating the Bulldogs 47-0 in an away Hoosier Heartland Conference game.
The Blackhawks steadily built their lead throughout the contest. Peyton Cross and Zach Bales both scored first-quarter touchdowns on short runs. Cross added another touchdown early in the second period, then Eli Kolb ran in from eight yards for another score.
Sheridan led 27-0 at halftime, and put up another 20 points in the third period. Jacob Jones opened the quarter with a 68-yard kickoff return to the end zone. Later, Caleb Alexander made a 13-yard touchdown run. Chase Spencer delivered the final touchdown of the game, as he threw a 26-yard scoring pass to Cayden Knight.
Owen Bell made five extra-point kicks.
The Blackhawks are 1-1 and host Tri-Central next Friday in another HCC game.
