Donald E. Wethington, 83, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on July 21, 1939, to Joseph and Gertrude (Woodrum) Wethington in Clementsville, Ky.
Donald graduated from Sheridan High School and was a farmer his whole life for Purdue University Lynnwood Farms. He was a past member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Donald liked to frequent flea markets and garage sales. He loved his T-bucket, which he called “The Green Ghost,” enjoyed taking his tractors to tractor shows and looked forward to playing Santa Claus for local Noblesville businesses during the holiday season. Donald was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Juanita Wethington; sons, Gene Wethington (Denise) and Daniel Wethington (Janet); son-in-law, Jeffrey Ogle; six grandchildren, Nicholas Ogle (Danielle), Brandon Ogle, Amber Petrisin (Tyler), Amanda Wethington (Jeff Tucker), Neal Wethington (Erin), and Kyle Wethington (Alexis); five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Alivia, Lauren, Emmett and Levi; sisters, Louise Eaton (James) and Rosie Wethington; brother-in-law, Charlie Stapleton; sister-in-law, Beth Roudebush; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ann Ogle; brothers, Marvin, Hurley and Joseph “Ted” Wethington; and his sister, Sue Stapleton.
The Wethington family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Donald’s cremation.
