Volleyball: Noblesville sweeps in double four-sets this week

The Noblesville volleyball team is off to a 2-0 start this season.

On Monday, the Millers beat North Central in an away match, taking a four-set contest 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-14. Noblesville followed that up with a four-set win over Mount Vernon Wednesday at The Mill, by the score of 25-13, 25-22, 25-27, 27-25.

The Millers are back in action Saturday when they play at Bishop Chatard.

Hamilton Heights got a four-set victory over Lebanon on Wednesday, 20-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-17.

Libero Kennedy Cherry scored several aces while also playing dominant on the back row. Macie Smith and Emma Blanton both hit several kills.

The Huskies’ junior varsity team won in three sets, 20-25, 25-10, 15-10.

Carmel dropped a four-set match to Roncalli on Wednesday, 22-25, 33-31, 25-20, 25-15.

Lauren Evans put down 13 kills for the Greyhounds, with Avery Carroll hitting eight and Emily Waddell getting six. Waddell led the blocks with six, followed by Carroll with three and Evans with two. On defense, Lauren Dossey and Evans both had 19 digs, with Carroll collecting seven digs. Dossey also served two aces.

Carmel hosts its Round Robin tournament on Saturday.
