Hamilton Southeastern grad steps up
The IUPUI Athletics Department and Dr. Roderick Perry have announced the hiring of Justin Roeder as the next head coach of the men’s cross country and track and field programs.

Roeder took over as interim head coach of the men’s track and field programs prior to the 2022 season and will be elevated to the head spot in both cross country and track and field while having the interim tag removed.
Roeder is a graduate of Hamilton Southeastern, where he won the individual state championship for the Royals in 2004. He went on to a successful college career at Butler University and was a professional triathlete for several years. Roeder was an IUPUI volunteer assistant in 2011-12, then returned as the team’s top assistant in 2019.
