Ida Grace Webb

July 30, 1930 – July 15, 2022

Ida Grace Webb, 91, Noblesville, passed away July 15, 2022, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born July 30, 1930, at Eupora, Miss., to Ervin Edward and Maude (Tabb) Trainor.

She graduated from High School in Meridian, Miss., then furthered her education by completing two years of business college.

She married John Thomas Webb on January 14, 1950, who became a Methodist Pastor. She then stepped into her new role as wife and wife of a pastor. Together they served several churches as pastors and were often moved frequently at that time. They were blessed with two daughters who were supportive of their parents’ ministry. Grace, as she was fondly known, also worked several years doing clerical work for the laboratory at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, often driving over 50 miles one way to work.

Her family related that she was well respected by those who knew her. She was gentle, kind and compassionate and always put others before self. She was an animal lover and raised and cared for several dogs during her lifetime. Leisure time would find her making latch hook rugs and doing needle point.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. John Thomas Webb; a brother and two sisters.

Her loving daughters, Patricia Lynn Taussig and Barbara Ann Webb, both of Noblesville, survive her.

Graveside rites will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Arcadia Cemetery, Arcadia, with John Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at the Cemetery.

Hartley Funeral Home, Cicero, is entrusted with Mrs. Webb’s care. You may send condolences at hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
