Dear Editor:

There is nothing more patriotic than witnessing the six military jets that fly in unison over the northern Indianapolis/Hamilton County area heading on their way to exhilarate the Indianapolis 500 Race attendees.

Every year, except during the Obama era, people on the north side of Indy have enjoyed these fighter jets thundering overhead in our skies while they practice the day before and on race day coming and going. These jets fly so fast the sound resonates after they have flown by, and that sound is comparable to reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. It makes the hair stand up on the back of your head and neck.

God bless America and our military men and women who pledge to defend our Constitution and the duty to protect the American people.
