The Fishers baseball team won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference championship Thursday with a come-from-behind victory at Brownsburg, 5-3.
The Bulldogs led 3-0 after five innings before the Tigers scored all five of their runs in the top of the sixth. Gavin Clayton and Joey Brenczewski both got on base with singles, then Carson Dunn came up and smacked a home run to send everyone home and tie the game.
Next up was Jack Brown, and he hit a double to get on base. Dom Oliverio came to the plate minutes later, and his homer got Brown home and gave Fishers the lead. The Tigers held on to the lead from that point forward.
Dunn and Clayton both had two hits. Brown pitched six innings for the win, striking out six. Joey Wilmoth pitched the seventh inning and got the save.
The Tigers are 12-1 in the conference and 21-6 overall. Fishers hosts Brownsburg tonight to finish HCC play.
