Sample grapes from 15 Indiana wineries at Carmel’s Art of Wine event this Saturday

A diverse group of 15 Indiana wineries spanning the Hoosier state from the Ohio River region to northern Indiana will take over Main Street from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. Admission is free, but visitors can purchase a souvenir wine glass for $30 and enjoy unlimited tastings from the wineries.

All ages are welcome to attend the event, which will also feature street musicians, food vendors and more scattered across the District where unique art, gift shops and restaurants will be open.

Enhance your experience with a VIP Prime Hour ticket that gives you the “first hour” of tasting from 4 to 5 p.m. as well as a few extras. Those VIP tickets are available online now through Friday, May 20.

Main Stage music

Come to the Main Stage, located on Range Line Road at 1st Street South, and enjoy the high-energy sounds of Magnolia Soul as they entertain with a large variety of hits from pop, rock, funk and modern country. Magnolia Soul performs music that makes you move.

Street musicians

Listen to a variety of sounds as you sample your way from tent to tent along Main Street and Range Line Road. The street musicians will include Jeremiah Cosner, Elliott Ferguson, Joseph Filipow, Elizabeth Lee, Typical Summer, and Hannah Ziliak.

Tickets

Wine sampling tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite prior to the event or onsite the day of the event. Credit cards only; no cash onsite. Wine tasting tickets are $30 each and allow patrons to sample wine from all the wineries present. A valid ID is required upon arrival, and you will receive a commemorative Art of Wine tasting glass.

The Art of Wine VIP Prime Hour ticket sales close Friday, May 20 and are limited to the first 350 purchased. Guests must show their tickets and photo ID for check-in. All guests participating in wine tastings and attending the VIP Prime Hour must be age 21 or over.

Special offerings

Special offerings from Arts & Design District merchants include:

  • Xchocol’Art will offer a chocolate tasting. Guests can pick up the tasting with suggestions as to what wine goes with flavor. Register online at this link.
  • Indiana Artisan will hold an event called Indiana Artisan al Fresco in the garden, where several food artisans will be offering samples.
  • Art on Main will be open with a variety of offerings that appeal to wine lovers, including paintings of wine and wine bottles, charcuterie boards and wine glass coasters.
