Huskies, Royals, Greyhounds pick up all-county softball victories

The Hamilton Heights softball team won an all-county game at Guerin Catholic on Tuesday, 18-8 in five innings.
Faith Hittle scored three runs had two hits for the Huskies, while Isabella Neiling batted in three runs. Kaylee Rhoton, Ashlyn Fletcher and Emma Blanton all had two RBIs.
The Golden Eagles’ Lillian Everts hit a double, with Lucy Kemp, Olivia Spomer and Zoey Bussick all getting two hits. Kemp and Madi Cain both drove in two runs.
Heights is 6-10 and plays at Westfield this afternoon, while Guerin Catholic is 6-7 and plays at Roncalli today in a Circle City Conference game.

Hamilton Southeastern picked up an all-county win at Westfield, 7-6 on Tuesday.
Payton Fox had two hits, a triple and a double, and drove in two runs for the Royals. Sage Ladig was the winning pitcher, striking out five, and also had two hits.
Allie Dolenc and Ava Kainrath both drove in two runs for the Shamrocks, with Avery Banas hitting a double.
Southeastern is 9-10 and hosts Richmond at 6 p.m. tonight. Westfield is 13-7 and hosts Hamilton Heights today.

Carmel beat Fishers 14-0 in a Monday all-county game.
The Greyhounds’ Sophie Esposito had a tremendous day at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two RBIs. Jessica Remm and Lily Sullivan both hit home runs and Maddie Stacy had a double. Remm drove in five runs and Sullivan batted in three runs.
Sophie Schoch had two hits for the Tigers.
Carmel dropped a 10-3 game at Center Grove on Tuesday. The ‘Hounds are 11-8 and host Kokomo today. Fishers fell to Franklin Central 6-4 on Tuesday. The Tigers are 6-11 and play at New Palestine this afternoon.
