The Westfield boys golf team was all over the place on Saturday, but in a good way.
The Shamrocks had two sets of players competing in, and winning, two different tournaments. First, one group won the Richmond Invitational at the Richmond Elks club with a team score of 312.
Gabe Nixon led Westfield with a two-under par 73. Brennan Decker and Clark Schwartz both scored 79s, followed by Kaden Mendler with 81 and Cohen Steill with 82.
The second ‘Rocks group competed at the Don Dicken Invitational at Stonehenge in Warsaw, comfortably finishing first with a score of 307. Jake Cesare won medalist honors with a 75, while Cam Kooi and Alec Cesare tied for second place with 76s. Will Harvey scored 80 and Nolan Hall had a 91.
Hamilton Southeastern won the Danville Invitational, which took place Saturday at Twin Bridges.
The Royals carded a team score of 303, led by Cole Starnes’ medalist score of 69. Lane Zedrick added a 76, Tyler Lacy scored 78, followed by Tyler Marcinko 80 and Nate Benson 81.
Fishers placed third, scoring 319 as a team. Connor McMillan was Fishers’ low man with a 77, followed by Eli Toon 79, Owen Munkholm 80, Jonathan Ash 83 and Ryan Witt 86.
Guerin Catholic also picked up a tournament win on Saturday, triumphing at the Highland Invitational.
The Golden Eagles scored a 292 and also had the meet co-medalist: Jacob Modleski carded a 70, tying with Cathedral’s Ryan Ford. Leo Wessel added a 72, Conner McNeely scored a 74, Zach Thieme had a 76 and Smith scored 83.
Carmel finished second at the tournament, totaling a 302. Patrick Michael led the Greyhounds with a 72, while Owen Sander was next in line with a 73. Mason Price scored 77, Joseph Armfield 80 and Ryan Jones 85.
Carmel also sent a team to the Trojan Classic on Saturday at Hickory Stick.
The Greyhounds tied for 10th, scoring a 344. Kent Fujita led Carmel with a 79, followed by Austin Kent 84, Davis Hutchins 88, Ethan Hoagland 93 and Aidan Jeffreys 98.
In a Thursday dual meet, Carmel beat Westfield 320-323 at Brookshire Golf Course.
Owen Sander led the Greyhounds with a 77, followed by Patrick Michael and Mason Price each carding 80s. Joe Armfield scored 83, Ryan Jones 84 and Kent Fujita 87.
The Shamrocks’ Jake Cesare was the medalist with a 75. Other Westfield scores were Cam Kooi 81, Will Harvey 83, Nolan Hall 84, Alec Cesare 84 and Matt Shull 84.
