The award-winning musical Hello, Dolly! has returned to the Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, starring Suzanne Stark as Dolly Levi. The classic story of a vivacious, meddling matchmaker is now on stage through May 15.

The Reporter was invited to attend Media Night on Saturday, April 2.

Hello, Dolly! is the exciting tale following Dolly Levi’s matchmaking career during the turn of the century. When hired by Horace Vandergelder, a wealthy and cantankerous business owner, Dolly decides Horace is her perfect match. Horace has his sights set on a pretty young widow, but Dolly is determined to get her man and comically interferes to make him realize that she is the woman he has been longing to marry.

Hello, Dolly! includes a score by award-winning composer Jerry Herman, featuring “It Takes A Woman,” “Before the Parade Passes By,” “Put On Your Sunday Clothes,” “So Long Dearie,” “Ribbons Down My Back,” “It Only Takes A Moment,” and of course, “Hello, Dolly!”

The original Broadway production won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Suzanne Stark brilliantly plays the role of the sassy, spunky Dolly Levi while Ty Stover perfectly portrays the character of the crabby Horace Vandergelder.

Hello, Dolly! is on stage for 46 performances through May 15 at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Tickets range from $51 to $76 and include the Beef & Boards dinner buffet and select beverages. Plenty of free parking is available.
