On Wednesday, RipFest Diving of Arcadia participated in Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving campaign. The New Jersey-based sub sandwich restaurant chain conducts an annual nationwide charity push where 100 percent of that day’s profits from every location across the country are donated to a nonprofit organization. This year, the Special Olympics USA Games was the chosen charity. RipFest Diving traveled to Jersey Mike’s Carmel location to bring attention to the charity push. Approximately 20 athletes were in attendance, including national diving champions and two-time Olympic coach John Wingfield.
