Westfield Fire Department (WFD) last week unveiled its newest fire engine. The truck has a 1,500 gallons per minute pump and holds 750 gallons of water. It joins WFD’s two other frontline engines with two reserve engines. It took 14 months to build and six weeks to mount the equipment needed to place it in service. The seat belts, airbags, and some of the other safety features on the engine were developed by Westfield’s IMMI.
