The Carmel boys lacrosse team won an all-county game with Fishers 15-7 Tuesday night at Murray Stadium.
Kyle Fedorcha had a dominant night for the Greyhounds, as he poured in seven goals, five in the second quarter alone. Fedorcha also made a fourth-quarter assist.
William Spraetz added three goals, with Jake Klein putting in two goals. Quinn Huber, Charlie Mock and Brock Rose each scored one goal. In addition to Fedorcha, five other Carmel players made one assist: Klein, John Kenney, Leo Prosser, Spraetz and Mock.
Eli Spearman and Erik Ryden both scored two goals for the Tigers, with Jack Alvarez, Zach Williard and Cody Thomas each getting one goal. Garrett Faulkner made one assist.
In an all-county girls match-up, Westfield beat Fishers 8-2 Tuesday at the Shamrocks’ field.
Lauren Dean, Molly O’Brien, Devyn Fortune and Claire Ireland were among the goal scorers for Westfield. Chloe Nash and Maddie Pope each had one goal for the Tigers.
Guerin Catholic’s girls team kept its strong early start rolling with a 13-5 win over Bishop Chatard Tuesday.
Carrie Kosiba led the Golden Eagles by scoring four goals, while Ella Bellflower put in three goals. Gabbie Thomas dished out three assists.
The Carmel girls team won two games Saturday against Evansville teams.
First, the Greyhounds beat Evansville Reitz 16-3. Junior Tori Tomalia scored four goals and handed out two assists, while freshman Sophie Mock also scored four goals. Eight different Carmel players made at least one goal. Anna Dumke had two goals, one assist and five ground balls.
In an evening game, the ‘Hounds cruised past Evansville North 14-4. Megan Barkocy and Brookelyn Jenkins combined in goal for a solid performance.
Carmel is 3-0 and is back in action next Tuesday, hosting Brebeuf Jesuit.
