Huskies get hard-fought home win over Eagles

Hamilton Heights got back in the win column Tuesday with a hard-fought 69-64 victory over Frankton at the Huskies’ gym.
Heights led 19-17 after the first quarter and 37-28 at halftime. The Eagles played even with the Huskies in the third quarter, but Heights still was up 51-42 going into the fourth. Frankton then scored 22 points in that final quarter, but the Huskies were able to hold off the Eagles.
Luke Carroll had a tremendous game, reaching double-double status with 29 points and 13 rebounds; he also had four steals and two blocked shots. Evan Williamson added 12 points, while Tillman Etchison scored nine.
Heights is 9-9 and plays at Benton Central Friday in the fifth-place game of the Hoosier Conference tournament.
