Local organizations interested in learning more about Hamilton County’s 2023 Bicentennial can attend one of three workshops scheduled this winter, both in person and virtually.
The Hamilton County Bicentennial Workshops will include information on how to produce a program, how to become an officially sanctioned event, and how to apply for a micro-grant to support events in 2023, among other items.
The program is for arts organizations, schools, houses of worship who offer public programs, history organizations or any entity interested in providing a public event during 2023 in support of the bicentennial celebration.
Local community stakeholders and potential program partners will attend each event to share ideas and answer questions. Stakeholders include libraries, township officials, arts organizations, Bicentennial Commission members and schools, among others.
Register for the events at HamCoTurns200.com. Each event has a limit on registrations, and organizations are encouraged to sign up early to send a representative.
Dates for the winter workshops are:
- 5:30 to 7 p.m., Jan. 25, Hamilton North Public Library, 209 W. Brinton St., Cicero
- 10 to 11:30 a.m., Feb. 26, Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Road, Fishers
