Holiday season brings exciting attractions across Hamilton County

The holiday season is almost here, and there is no better place to celebrate than Hamilton County. With a mix of new and returning events, there is plenty to experience in November and December.

Magic of Lights

Nov. 19 to Jan. 22, 2022

For the first time ever, Ruoff Music Center will host Magic of Lights, a family-friendly drive-through holiday lights display to enjoy from the comfort of your car. Nearly a million lights sparkle along the route.

Carmel Christkindlmarkt

Nov. 20 to Dec. 24

Free admission

After a year hiatus, the Carmel Christkindlmarkt returns. This authentic German holiday market features European products, food and drink like Gluhwein (mulled wine). Lace up your ice skates at the Ice at Carter Green, too.

A Merry Prairie Holiday

Nov. 26 to Dec. 19

$11 to $22

Walk the grounds at Conner Prairie to see the local favorite Reynolds’ Christmas Lights display, visit the North Pole workshop or slide down the Polar Bear Plunge dry tubing hill. New in 2021, the William Conner House will transform into a magical 3D projection mapping holiday show.

Reindeer Ride Express & Holiday Cheers

Nov. 20 to Dec. 23

$42 to $45

The Reindeer Ride is an hour and 15-minute excursion, boarding out of Forest Park in Noblesville. The experience includes sing-alongs, a story, and visit with Santa. Holiday Cheers operates at the same time, but the dining car is only for those age 21 and over and includes adult beverages.

In addition to these four pillar holiday attractions, the Center for the Performing Arts will host holiday concerts and performances at the Palladium and Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre in Carmel.
