Create your own blown-glass pumpkin paperweight at today’s Meet Me on Main in Carmel

Come to the Carmel Arts & Design District from 5 to 9 p.m. this evening for Allied Solutions’ Meet Me on Main. This event takes place along Main Street and Range Line Road and attendees can enjoy an evening of art, shopping, music and more.

Meet Me on Main is the City of Carmel’s monthly “second Saturday” event along Main Street and Range Line Road to highlight local galleries, restaurants and design-related businesses in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Art galleries and businesses will be featuring special events to help you experience the wonderful art-related and design-related elements of the District.

Enjoy live music throughout the District, including performances by Redoux, Joe Filipow and Owen Newkirk. Other offerings include free caricatures on the sidewalk along Main Street, make-and-take clay turkeys at the Art Lab, 33 E. Main St., 3rd floor, Suite 300.

You can also take part in a hands-on hot glass session at the plaza at Main Street and Monon Boulevard. Indiana Artisan Lisa F. Pelo will lead participants in an activity to make your own beautiful pumpkin-shaped paperweights. Registration is limited.

There will be an opportunity to register to win one of three $100 gift cards by visiting participating merchants and dropping your name and contact information into a special drawing that will take place on Monday, Nov. 15. The gift cards will be from select Arts District businesses. Be sure to visit as many galleries and shops as possible to increase your chance to win.

As you visit the galleries in the District during Meet Me on Main this Saturday, you can also vote for your favorite design for a new mural coming soon in the Sophia Square Breezeway.
