On Monday, Westfield police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Sonhatsett Drive. Upon arrival, officers learned two neighbors had been consuming alcohol and an argument ensued resulting in shots being fired.
The suspect in the shooting fled to his residence in the 600 block of Birch Street. After refusing to exit the residence, the Noblesville/Westfield Emergency Services Unit responded and made entry into the home and the suspect, Seth Gerber, Westfield, was arrested.
Gerber was charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, pointing a firearm and carrying a handgun without a license.
