Dorothy Sue Tyner, 80, Fishers, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers. She was born on December 1, 1940 to Herman and Opal (Moore) Helpling in McKeesport, Pa.
Dottie was a legal secretary and also a claims adjuster at Delco Remy for many years before retiring. She attended Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church. Dottie was an avid bowler, and also enjoyed softball, cooking, reading, and playing cards. She liked going to the beach and fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Todd (Marcia) Tyner; son, Tony (Elizabeth) Tyner; daughter, Traci (Terry) Robertson; grandchildren, Chloe (Peter) Sackers, Griffin (Katie) Tyner, Kristen (Daniel) Deach, Allison Tyner, Michael Tyner, Brady (Erica) Robertson, Logan Robertson, and Riley Robertson; and great-grandchild, Declan Deach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Tyner; brother, Butch (Patty) Helpling; sister, Judy (Charlie) Rosenow; and infant sister, Patty Helpling.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Elwood.
