This is the latest information from the Fishers Health Department (FHD) about the state of the pandemic in the city.
Metrics review
FHD reports an increase of unvaccinated individuals, as well as hospitalizations. Thus, hospital capacity is decreasing.
The COVID-19 Community Risk rating is at Level 3 as of Aug. 31. The seven-day positivity rate in Hamilton County is 11.8 percent, and the case incidence rate is 40.12 percent. The seven-day positivity rate in Fishers is 7.11 percent.

Vaccine appointments
Walk-in or schedule ahead and get your free COVID-19 vaccine at your local pharmacy, the Fishers Health Department Vaccine Site, or various pop-up clinics throughout the city. Register in advance at ourshot.in.gov, by calling 2-1-1 or the Fishers COVID Hotline at (317) 595-3211. Children ages 12 to 17 require parental consent to receive the vaccine. No insurance is required.
The Fishers Mass Vaccination Site & Testing Site will be closed Monday, Sept. 6 in observance of Labor Day. It will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 7 for walk-in vaccines at 1 p.m. and testing at noon.
Fishers Mass Vaccination Site walk-in hours:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday: 1 to 6:45 p.m.
- Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Thursday: 1 to 6:45 p.m., and at the Sunblest Apartment Complex Pop-Up Clinic from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Friday: 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Saturday: 10 to 11:45 a.m., at the Fishers Farmers’ Market from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and at the Sunblest Apartment Complex Pop-Up Clinic from 2 to 6 p.m.
- Sunday: Closed
Rapid tests available
Rapid COVID Tests are available at the Fishers Testing Site. Call the Fishers COVID Hotline at (317) 595-3211 to schedule.
The Fishers Testing Site has also expanded its hours to accommodate an increase in testing. New hours are:
- Monday: Closed for Labor Day
- Tuesday: Noon to 7 p.m.
- Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday: Noon to 7 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed
