John Moore is now officially the Jackson Township Fire Chief. He has 22 years of experience in fire and EMS services.

Currently he also serves as the full-time deputy chief at Richland Township. He has worked part-time at Jackson Township for two years. When he first started at Jackson Township Fire, he quickly earned the respect of everyone with his natural leadership abilities. It is not uncommon for him to work on shift with the guys when there is a scheduling need.

According to Jackson Township Trustee Robyn Cook, there has been a boost in morale and department unity under Moore’s direction.

Other recent promotions include Mike Kirchberg, now Lieutenant; Fred McComiskey, now Lieutenant; and James Carter, now Captain.
