Jerry L. Ward

September 2, 1936 – August 7, 2021

Jerry graduated from Pekin Community High School. He volunteered for the draft and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jerry worked in sales and marketing for Gerber Products Co., retiring in 1990 as VP of General Merchandise Sales. He was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader. Jerry was a member of Fremont United Methodist Church where he served on various church committees and as administrative board chairman. He enjoyed golf, duck hunting, boating on Lake Michigan, traveling, and both cross-country and downhill skiing.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Audrey Mae Ward; daughters, Karen Jo (Robert) Roelofs, Linda Marie (Mark) Seitz, and Michelle Lee (Arthur) Schlaud; sister, Jessie Lunini; brothers-in-law, Gerald (Jeanne) Sampen, Kenneth (Darla) Sampen, and Joe Walker; grandchildren, Justin (Abbey) Roelofs, Zachary Roelofs, Eric (Sarah) Seitz, Nathan Schlaud, Jason Schlaud, Allyson (Drew) Silverthorn, Stacey (Matt) Draper, and Amy (Taylor) Walsh; great-grandchildren, Claire and Emma Seitz, and Elijah Draper; as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, James August (Jeanne) Ward; sister, Jacqueline Walker; brother-in-law, John Lunini; and his in-laws, Albert H. and Flossie M. Sampen.

A memorial service is being planned at 11 a.m. on May 14, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Specific details to follow.
