Phi Beta Psi Sorority of Arcadia/Cicero will co-sponsor a motorcycle run with the Cicero American Legion Riders on Saturday, Aug. 28. Registration cost is $20. Proceeds from the event will support cancer research.

Phi Beta Psi is a non-academic, non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for cancer research. Every year, money is given in grants to physicians who are diligently working to find a cure for this dreaded disease. The group also provides state college scholarships for those entering fields of medical technology, local high school scholarships, as well as supporting local community needs.

The Cicero American Legion Riders is a generous group with a heart for veterans supporting so many community needs. The Legion Riders is an arm of the Cicero American Legion Post 341. The mission of Legion Riders is to raise awareness and support for veterans in need and to assist with non-veterans in the community who need assistance. The group is comprised of military veterans, wives and daughters of veterans, and sons of veterans.

The motorcycle ride starts and ends at the Cicero American Legion, 50 Washington Ave., Cicero.

There will be a breakfast prior to the ride, with breakfast and registration from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and the ride starting at 10:30 a.m.
