Noblesville High School has announced its Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2022. These individuals and team will be inducted at halftime of the Jan. 29 boys basketball game.
In order to be considered, past Noblesville athletes must be nominated and then a committee votes on those nominations. Information and nomination forms can be found online at the Noblesville High School Athletic site.
Emily Stewart Adams (1989) – Track and Field, Soccer, Swimming
Emily lettered four years in track and field setting the school record in the 200 meters and tied the school record in the 100 meters. She set the Hamilton County record in the 100 meters and 200 meters. In 1987, 1988 and 1989 Emily was the Hamilton County Track Meet High Point Award winner. She also lettered three years in soccer leading the team in assists and goals as a senior. Emily also lettered in swimming while winning 11 letters in her high school career.
Charles Benton “C.B.” Jenkins (1925) – businessman
C.B. Jenkins was the manager and treasurer of the Noblesville Milling Company. In 1925, he purchased uniforms for Noblesville High School in exchange for naming the athletic teams “Millers.” Previously, Noblesville teams had been referred to as the “Black and Gold.”
Dave Fleming (1975) – basketball, baseball, tennis
Dave scored 1,042 points in basketball placing him ninth on the All-time Miller scoring list. He lettered three years while garnering All County and All Conference recognition as a junior and senior. He was named was All State Honorable Mention as a senior. Dave also was an outstanding baseball player lettering three years and was an All Conference tennis player.
Corey Louks (1992) – football, wrestling, track
Corey was an outstanding three-sport athlete in football, track and wrestling. In football, he rushed for 2,010 career yards including a single game school record of 335 yards. In wrestling, he won the county, sectional, regional and semi-state as a senior heavyweight. Corey compiled a 125- 14 varsity wrestling record. In track, he won the county, sectional, regional and semi-state in the shot put as a senior.
1963 Boys Basketball Team
The Millers finished the regular season 18-2. Noblesville won the Sectional with a 52-41 decision over Tipton and then won the Regional with a 69-68 nail-biter over arch rival Kokomo. The team’s final record was 23-3.
Team members included Bob Campbell, Gary Cox, Pete Deakyne, Don Dunker, Don Fleming, Eddie Grissom, Greg Jerrell, Jim Lyon, Bronson Parrott, Jeff Reveal, John Stern and John Utter.
The Millers were coached by the legendary Glen Harper and Bill Nevitt.
