Rep. Spartz tapped to serve on GOP-led health care policy task force

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.-23) has announced the formation of the Healthy Future Task Force, led by Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee Republican Leader Brett Guthrie (Ky.-02) and Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Republican Leader Devin Nunes (Calif.-22).

Leader McCarthy appointed Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (Ind.-05) to serve on this important task force, which will build on Republican health policy successes and craft a patient-focused agenda for the future.

“I appreciate Leader McCarthy appointing me to serve on the Healthy Future Task Force,” Rep. Spartz said. “I will work with my colleagues to put forth real, patient-focused solutions that will lower health care costs, increase competition and value in the marketplace, support healthier outcomes for patients, and spur innovation.”

The Healthy Future Task Force will listen, learn, and lead in developing the next chapter of the Republican’s health care agenda, which will focus on:

  • Breaking down barriers to help all Americans live healthier and longer
  • Increasing care choices
  • Expanding the range of available providers
  • Encouraging investment in new cures and therapies
  • Lowering the cost of health services
  • Providing a strong safety net for the most vulnerable Americans
  • Protecting access to care for all Americans
  • Ensuring patients remain in control of their health care
