Sheridan Horseshoe League is up and running for 2021

The Sheridan Horseshoe League is up and running again this year.
The league meets at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday night at Biddle Park in Sheridan. Men and women pitch together in games of horseshoe pitching. A game consists of 25 frames; a frame consists of two horseshoe pitches by each player (two shoes times 25 frame equals 50 pitches for each player per game).
The league is formatted like a bowling league. It establishes a handicap that is determined by a player’s average, so even first-time pitchers have a chance.
The league is hosting tournaments this year, with the first one starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 12 at Biddle Park. If there are enough people, there will be another pitching at 1 p.m. There will be a fee to pitch that goes to the prize fund. Everyone is welcome to participate.
In last week’s meeting, Greg Emry had the high scratch actual game, with Phil Kercheval getting the high handicap game. Team results after three weeks are as follows: 1. Ashpaugh Electric, 2. Gibbons Lawn Care, 3. Price Heating, 4. Deem Electric, 5. Traditional Concepts, 6. McKinney Hard Woods.
