August 13, 2001 – April 29, 2021
Anna “Annie” Victoria Light, 19, Sheridan, passed away on April 29, 2021. She was born on August 13, 2001 to Ryan Light and Shannon (Simpkins) Light in Poway, Calif.
Annie graduated from Sheridan High School, Class of 2020. She worked at Majestic Care in Sheridan as a dietary aide. Annie wanted to work with animals, and she was in the process of choosing a career path in animal care. She was a very talented visual and physical artist and would spend hours creating art. She would also make videos and would sing; her family said she had such a beautiful voice. One thing Annie was known for was her love for animals. She took care of a pair of hedgehogs, bearded dragons, loved her dogs, and her mom’s cat, but she especially loved her cat Alastor. Annie and her sister Sabrina were inseparable and the two of them would spend time together hanging out and helping each other with whatever they each needed.
Annie was a kind soul who would help anyone and was known as slightly eccentric. She will be greatly missed by her family, her loving mother, Shannon Light, Sheridan; and her devoted sister, Sabrina Light, Sheridan. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Len (Jan) Simpkins, Bellaire, Mich., and Deb (Leo) Jarc, Harvard, Ill.; her father, Ryan Light; and her paternal grandparents, Douglas (Laurel) Light, Pittsburgh, Pa.
A celebration of Annie’s life was held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at North Fields Church, 1478 State Road 38, Sheridan.
