Robert Greathouse

October 23, 1948 – March 4, 2021

Robert Greathouse, 72, Noblesville, passed away on March 4, 2021 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on October 23, 1948 to Ralph Greathouse and Katherine (Whicker) Staton in Lebanon.

Rob was raised in Sheridan. He loved playing sports growing up, especially basketball and football, and was nicknamed “Boston Bob.” Rob was a huge Notre Dame, Green Bay Packer, New York Yankee, and Boston Celtic fan. He was an avid reader and music enthusiast, loving blues, country and rock and roll. Rob had a wonderful sense of humor, he loved to play pranks on people, and he was loved by all who met him.

He is survived by his sisters, Patty Cummings and Barbara (Jim) Greathouse-Early; brothers, Rick (Sharon) Greathouse, Joe (Jodi) Greathouse, and Scott Greathouse; stepmother, Sharon Greathouse; uncle, Dan Whicker; nephew, Steven Staton and 14 other nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews; 14 great-great-nieces and nephews; as well as several cousins.

In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Greathouse; and stepbrother, Troy Etchison.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., with visitation at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.

The family requests those attending wear masks and practice social distancing.
