Shelby Jean Smith, 43, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at her home. She was born on June 23, 1977 to William and Martha (Simpson) Ramsey in Portsmouth, Va.
Shelby was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, Va. She worked for Geico Insurance as a claim representative and was a member of Genesis Church. Shelby enjoyed the Indy Fuel Hockey, Chicago Blackhawks, and Pittsburgh Penguins. She helped with the high school color guard when her daughter was a member. Shelby and her three children were very involved volunteers for Food for Souls and with Genesis Church’s children ministry. She was a selfless, kindhearted, and caring person who never passed judgment.
Shelby is survived by her daughters, Martha Smith and Trisha Smith; son, Michael Smith; sister, Christy Wells; half-sister; Debbie Jones; half-brothers, David and Steven Jones; half-sister, Connie Ramsey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
