The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded Hamilton County $1,092,260 in grant money to support local affordable housing.
The grant is part of $5.5 billion in federal funding to local affordable housing programs throughout the country. The funding is provided through HUD programs, including the Community Development Block Grant program, Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS, Home Investment Partnership Program, Emergency Solutions Grants, and Recovery Housing Program.
