The Westfield Police Department, as a result of its continuing investigation, released additional information on Friday about the threat incident that happened at Westfield High School (WHS) on Monday, Jan. 25.
Preliminary investigation of the threat indicates it originated outside of Indiana. Further evidence shows similar calls were made from the same telephone number to governmental entities in other states, both before and after the WHS incident. In each case, no credible threat appears to have existed.
Extensive resources are dedicated to identifying and prosecuting those responsible for making this threat. Because this incident remains an active criminal investigation, there will be no additional comment at this time.
