Hamilton Southeastern won a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at Avon Tuesday, 59-44.
The Royals led 12-6 after the first quarter, then jumped ahead 26-14 at halftime. Southeastern continued to increase its lead in the third period, holding a 42-25 advantage by the end of the quarter.
Ryan Viele made three 3-pointers on her way to 19 points, with Makayla Hinshaw and Olivia Brown both scoring 11 points. Hinshaw and Viele each pulled four rebounds. Lydia Self added eight points and made six steals, with Brown getting five steals and dishing out five assists.
The Royals are 3-3 in HCC play and 11-5 overall. Southeastern plays its conference and regular-season finale on Thursday when it hosts Fishers in the Mudsock game.

‘Hounds sail past Cathedral
Carmel sailed to its second straight win on Tuesday, beating Cathedral 52-23 in an away game.
The Greyhounds scored 13 points in each quarter and only allowed the Irish five points in the first half, leading 26-5 at halftime. Carmel then held Cathedral to nine points in each of the next two quarters.
Kate Clarke scored 15 points for the Greyhounds, making three 3-pointers. Laura Valiente and Hannah Lach both added nine points, with Lach making two 3s. Valiente handed out six assists. Emily Roper dominated the boards with 11 rebounds, while Mackenzie Thomas pulled nine rebounds.
Carmel is 13-6 and travels to Ben Davis on Friday to finish Metropolitan Conference and regular-season play.

GC falls to Hawks
Guerin Catholic lost a hard-fought game to Decatur Central 45-41 Tuesday at the Eagles Nest.
The Hawks led 15-10 after the first quarter and 29-22 at halftime. Olivia Labus helped keep the Golden Eagles in the game with eight points in the second quarter. Decatur Central held a 36-28 advantage after three periods.
Labus scored 16 points for Guerin Catholic, with Kathryn Loso adding 10 points.
The Golden Eagles are 10-9 and host Covenant Christian on Thursday in GC’s final Circle City Conference game of the season.

Tigers edged by Brownsburg
Fishers dropped a tough Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at Brownsburg Tuesday 46-43.
The Class 4A No. 7 Tigers led 13-12 after the first quarter, but the Bulldogs jumped ahead 26-20 by halftime. Fishers blasted through the third period, outscoring Brownsburg 17-5 for a 37-31 lead. The Bulldogs turned the tables in the fourth quarter, only allowing the Tigers six points.

Fishers is 3-3 in conference play and 14-4 overall. The Tigers host Hamilton Southeastern Thursday in the Mudsock game.
Sheridan drops HHC game at Carroll
Sheridan dropped a close Hoosier Heartland Conference game at Carroll on Monday, 65-64.
The Blackhawks led 13-10 after the first quarter, but the Cougars poured in 23 points in the second period to take a 33-32 halftime lead. Sheridan and Carroll were tied at 50-50 at the end of three, and the Cougars edged out the ‘Hawks at the end.
Allie Delph scored 19 points for Sheridan, followed by Lillie Dickerson with 17 points. Riley Reed had 11 and Taylor Bates scored nine.
The Blackhawks are 5-2 in conference play and 9-4 overall. Sheridan plays at Monrovia tonight.
