Walter M. Mise, 80, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on January 14, 1941 to Walter Reed Mise and Tilda Jocelyn (Skaggs) Shuffitt in Indianapolis.
Walter was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School and retired from the United States Navy. He also retired from Chrysler after 35 years and served as a Noblesville Street Commissioner. Walter was a member of the Noblesville American Legion and the Fleet Reserve Association. He held lifetime memberships with the Noblesville VFW, Navy Club USA Ship 35, and the USS Strong Association. Walter was also a plank owner of the U.S. Navy Association.
He is survived by his son, Richard Mise; daughter, Cheryl (David) Brown; grandchildren, Alicia Dolan, Branden Dolan, Dakota Brown, Matthew Baldwin, Gabby Roth, Christopher Mise, Logan Mise, Austin Mise, Tyler Mise, and Sheila McCullough; and great-granddaughter, Alexis.
In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia D. Mise, in 2014; and siblings, Jeanetta Mise, Leo Mise, James Mise and Raymond Mise.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Rev. Stanley R. Sutton will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
