Josephina P. Bradley

January 23, 1926 – January 10, 2021

Josephina P. Bradley, 94, Carmel, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021. She was born on January 23, 1926, to Sebaldus J. and Mina (Hufgard) Hock in Germany. She became a U.S. citizen on April 15, 1959.

Josephina graduated from Thomas Howe High school, attended Indiana Vocation Technical College and Indiana University. She was a real estate and broker agent selling property in Fort Wayne. She also completed H&R Block Tax Classes.

On September 8, 1960, Josephina married Bronice O. Bradley. Together they started B&J Distributors Company. She was controller of the company, taking care of ordering products, payroll, billing, and federal and state taxes. After 45 years of operating the company, they decided to retire (at the ages of 90 and 89) and sold the company in March 2015 and moved from Fort Wayne to Carmel. Josephina also worked with a builder for 10 years. She designed and oversaw the building of their home and their office/warehouse building.

Josephina was a member of Eastern Star and Indiana Association of Realtors. She was an avid seamstress, winning first place awards for garments entered in local and national contests. Her specialty was cocktail dresses, evening gowns and coats. She won awards from as far away as New York.

Josephina is survived by her husband, Bronice O. Bradley, four nieces, and two nephews.

Josephina was preceded in death by her parents and brother.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
