December 2, 1932 – November 16, 2020
Marlene Sue Werren, 87, Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, November 16, 2020 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus. She was born on December 2, 1932 in Fremont, Ohio, to Flossie (Noftz) and Charles C. Trueman, the fourth of seven children.
A 1950 graduate of Sandusky High School, Sue married Herbert Werren in 1959 and led an active life raising her two children. Sue served as the family rock during the family’s frequent moves. Always animated, a lover of music, singing and dancing, she gave great joy to her family, friends and especially her beloved granddaughters. She was only slowed down in life by Alzheimer’s, which she battled valiantly for several years. She was lovingly cared for by her husband of 58 years, “Herb,” her family, and many health care angels.
In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Werren; brothers, Raymond Trueman and Donald Trueman; and sister, Jean Miller.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Mark R.) Tonn; son, Dwight Werren; her granddaughters, Mackenzie Tonn, Chelsea Werren Prajapati, Macie Tonn, Elizabeth Werren and Madison Tonn; and her siblings, Fred Trueman, Bertha Biechele and David Trueman.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a celebration of life will take place when safe in the future. Sue’s care has been entrusted to Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
