Volleyball: Fishers, HSE get easy wins, Millers survive LCC in five

The Fishers volleyball team scored a nice win over Anderson Tuesday, 25-8, 25-11, 25-8.
The Tigers made 53 digs, with junior libero Emma Rosenberg leading the defense by getting 12 digs. Junior setter Rose Duffy handed out 40 assists to go along with her 11 digs.
Senior Mallory Hernandez put down 15 kills, with junior Audrey Haworth spiking 10 kills. Junior Haley Soper and freshman Camryn Haworth each had five kills. Freshman Jada Allen had 2.5 blocks.

Westfield dropped a four-set match to Lawrence North on Monday, 25-17, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20.
The Shamrocks were led by Kinsey McAfee with five kills, Kenzie Daffinee with six aces, Anna Johnsey with three block assists and one solo block, Claire Hindman with 15 digs, and Sarah Weglarz with 14 assists.

Hamilton Southeastern improved to 7-4 after beating Harrison in straight sets Tuesday, 25-18, 25-20, 25-20.
The Royals were led by Lark Jones with 11 kills, while Julia Patras came off the bench to hit eight kills. Grace Kane led the defense with 17 digs.
On Saturday, Southeastern hosted the North vs. South Showdown. The Royals lost their first match to nationally-ranked Providence in four sets, 25-20, 25-22, 18-25, 25-17. Taylor Shelton, Bria King and Grace Hunter all had double-digit kills, with Kane making 24 digs.
The Royals then fell in another close match to Floyd Central, 14-25, 25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 17-15. Senior Lark Jones hit a career-high 20 kills, with King putting down 11 kills. Shelton had 17 digs and 19 kills. Kane scooped up 23 digs, and freshman Olivia Phillips dished out 52 assists and hit eight kills in her best match of the year.

Hamilton Heights took care of Frankton 25-6, 25-21, 25-23 on Tuesday.
Ana Collar made 16 digs, handed out 15 assists and hit seven kills. Janae Osswald had 16 digs, six kills and two aces, while Emma Knowles dished out 16 assists and scooped up eight digs.
The Huskies dropped a hard fought match to Alexandria on Monday, 22-25, 25-21, 25-11, 29-27. Collar had an amazing game, with 21 digs, 14 assists, 1 kills, five blocks and three aces.
Knowles also helped out with 18 assists, 15 figs and one ace. Tori Hayden finished the game with nine kills, five blocks and five digs.

Noblesville survived a five-set thriller with Lafayette Central Catholic on Tuesday, 25-13, 28-26, 24-26, 14-25, 15-9.
Lexie Almodovar powered down 23 kills for the Millers, with Alexa Roberts hitting 11 and Emily Kiser getting eight. Ava Nichols dished out 52 assists. On defense, Brenna Everingham made 30 digs, and Grace Harris was a force at the net with seven blocks.

Sheridan dropped a straight-set match to Tri-West on Monday, 25-18, 25-21, 25-20.
The Blackhawks host Eastern on Thursday.
