Lloyd Keith Lasley, formerly of Arcadia, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at IU Health West Hospital in Avon. He was 85 years old.
He was born on June 10, 1935 in Max, Ind., to Chester Harold and Golda May (Cochran) Lasley. He was a graduate of Dover High School near Thorntown, Ind., with the Class of 1953.
On June 29, 1963, he married Marie Evelyn Morgan. She preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Lasley, and brother, Harold Eugene Lasley.
He was a longtime resident of rural Arcadia where he was engaged in farming. He was a supporter of the Hamilton County 4-H program where he was a leader of the 4-H rabbit project and had worked in the rabbit and poultry barn at the Indiana State Fair. His hobbies included raising rabbits, sheep, and goats and working with hunting dogs.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Cicero.
He is survived by his children, John Lasley (Becky Collier), Elwood, Anthony (Anita) Lasley, Upland, Ind., Dr. Michele Lasley (fiancé Kevin Moster), Harrison, Ohio, Lisa (David) Doerner, Avon, and Dan (Linda Ruffolo) Lasley, Kenosha, Wis. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Michelle (Jeremy) Haulter, Andy Lasley, Dr. Sarah Mueller, Jacob Mueller (fiancée Annalee Witte), Katie (Blake) Steinacker, and David A. Doerner; a great-grandchild, Jillian Harris; and brothers, Marvin (Shirley) Lasley, Lebanon, and Paul (Patricia) Lasley, Florence, Ky.
A mass of Catholic burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 S. Pearl St., Cicero, IN 46034, with Father Sean Pogue officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of the services. Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.
