In light of the uncertainty and lingering threat posed to the public by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hamilton County Parks and Recreation, with direction provided by its park board members, has made the difficult decision to suspend its popular Cool Creek Summer Concert Series. The safety and well-being of the community, park staff and volunteers remain the park department and board’s priority.
Christopher Gullion, the park department’s Event Coordinator, has arranged for bands that had been scheduled to play in the summer series to perform free makeup concerts, as part of the Concerts in the Centerpiece “Extended Series” at Coxhall Gardens this fall.
The special concert series is slated to take place on Sundays, from Sept. 6 to Oct. 11, with the two makeup concerts being performed by The Flying Toasters on Oct. 4 and The Doo! Band on Oct. 11. Performance times are 5 to 7 p.m.
Coxhall Gardens is located at 116th Street and Towne Road, Carmel. Complete concert details can be found by visiting myhamiltoncountyparks.com, at the County Parks department’s Facebook page, or by calling (317) 770-4400.
