“Andee has done an absolutely stellar job being proactive, innovative and motivational – not just keeping HCLA on track but also pushing us forward,” said Board President Rachael Coverdale. “This is the natural next step for her and the organization.”

Marley, a Carmel native, graduated from Carmel High School and Indiana University Bloomington, where she studied Costume Design, Japanese and Fine Art. For many years, she worked as an artisan, living in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin and Chicago before returning back home to Hamilton County.

“Above all, I consider myself an artist,” she said, adding that she also applies that mindset to her work at HCLA. “I love to create curriculum days, class experiences and personal connections.”

Outside of work, Marley is enrolled at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, where she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Art Therapy with a focus on Leadership Development. She is also is the secretary of the Carmel Education Foundation’s Board of Directors.

In her free time, she enjoys sewing, reading, meditation and Qigong. Marley lives in Carmel with her five-year-old daughter, Anthea.

Marley takes the helm at HCLA as the community leadership program prepares to enter its 30th year of service to Hamilton County. She will be its seventh Executive Director.
