The American Legion Post 341 in Cicero hosted a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on Saturday for their newly-constructed Veterans Memorial Wall at the entrance of Red Bridge.

The 36-foot wall has on its face five 21-inch circles, each with the logo for the five branches of the armed forces. Two 24-inch by 21-inch plaques honor the American Legion and American Legion Riders Post 341, along with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Cicero. Behind the wall stands three flag poles displaying the American flag in the center, the POW/MIA flag and the Indiana state flag.

Construction of the wall was funded through donations made by Cicero VFW and Legion Riders. Construction costs were offset through donations made by local citizens and businesses.
