Noblesville woman injured in fire overnight Wednesday

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, the Noblesville Fire Department responded to a residence fire at 292 Chestnut St. Upon arrival, responding units encountered flames and heavy smoke coming from the front of the home. Crews were able to enter the structure and pull an unconscious female out of the burning home. She was transported to Riverview Hospital in serious condition. She was later transferred to Eskenazi Hospital. Three cats were also pulled from the home; one survived.
