‘Blazers overwhelm Brebeuf, are 7-0

Lindsey Syrek scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the University girls to a 68-16 win over Brebeuf Jesuit Tuesday night at The U Center.
The Trailblazers entered the game with a top five defensive average in the state, and lowered that average to just 25.0 ppg with a harrassing defense that held Brebeuf to just one second half field goal while forcing 30 turnovers.
University used a balanced scoring attack behind Syrek, with Kelsey DuBois having 12 points, Payton Seay had nine and Maddi Sears and Sierra Hinds had eight apiece.
Jordan Patterson had five points and Bayan Abdullah two to round out the University scoring.
University improves to 7-0 and will next be in action Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Bethesda Christian. There is no junior varsity game and tip-off is at 6:30 p.m.
