Hamilton Heights High School’s Fall Homecoming will take place on Friday. The days leading up to Homecoming will be filled with a variety of fun and spirit-filled activities to rally the Dawgs prior to the big game at 7:30 p.m. on Friday on the Husky Field against the Twin Lakes Indians.
This week has been designated with “spirit” days for which students and staff can participate. Monday was Pajama Day, Tuesday was College Day, Wednesday is Class T-Shirt/Powder Puff Day, Thursday is Yee Haw Day and Friday is Orange and White Day.
All grades will vie for the prize at the annual Power Puff football game this evening. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and will take place at the high school football field. Admission is free. The concession stand will be open.
On Thursday, the Game Show Minute to Win It, sponsored by the sophomore class, begins at 2:05 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The cost for students to attend is $1.
Friday’s activities begin bright and early at 7:35 a.m. with the Ryan White Walk, now over three decades strong, at the HHHS track. A student pep session, featuring a staff-senior tug of war, will be held from 1:15 to 2 p.m. at the football field.
Parade line up begins at 3 p.m. in the north/west high school parking lot. The award-winning Hamilton Heights High School Band and Amber Guard will lead the parade with the school song and impressive flag routine through the streets of Arcadia beginning at 4 p.m.
Halftime festivities include recognition of alumni from the classes of ’70, ’80, ’90, ’00, and ‘10, followed by the presentation of the 2019 Homecoming Court and the crowning of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen.
The Fall Homecoming Dance will take place from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday at the High School Media Center.
