The Hamilton Southeastern volleyball team continued its unbeaten run in Hoosier Crossroads Conference play with a sweep of Westfield Wednesday at The Rock.
The Royals won 25-13, 25-16, 25-17. Abby Weber led Southeastern with a dominant performance of 19 kills, 13 digs and one ace.
“Abby Weber was absolutely spectacular,” said Royals coach Jason Young. “I think she had nine kills in the first set. She was pretty much unstoppable, our go-to when we were in trouble all night, so I was really pleased with her performance. She’s been trending up and tonight was a really great performance for her.”
Grace Hunter and Delaney Garner both had nine kills, with Hunter serving two aces and Garner making 1.5 blocks. Emily Weber handed out 20 assists, while Olivia Phillips dished out 17 assists. On defense, Carly Mills collected 19 digs and Kyla Berg had 11 digs.
Kenzie Daffinee led the Shamrocks with 14 kills. Ellary Detamore picked up 14 digs and Peighton Isley had 11 digs. Sarah Weglarz handed out 28 assists.
“Tomorrow we get into practice, we have some things to focus on and we’re just going to move on from there,” said Shamrocks coach Sandra Burks.
